Happy Tuesday, friends!
It’s the first real back to work week and it’s starting to feel good, being in a routine again but at the same time having less pressure of off season! So now I can continue to recap on some of my last shoots of 2018 before my first wedding of 2019 next month! (Where has the time gone?!)
I absolutely loved meeting Rachel and Steve last month in Watkins Glen! These two are so adventurous and joyful, and I just loved their story. They met over a year ago and are now engaged and living in their first home together in New Jersey, but they love taking trips and adventuring! They spend time in upstate New York together over the summer and fell absolutely in love with Watkins Glen. So they decided to plan their wedding in Central New York and dreamed of their engagement session in Watkins Glen!
We first went to Taughannock Falls State Park, to take some romantic photos in the woods and creek part of the trail. It was so crazy seeing the woods look so much like fall with the golden leaves and greenery! Just the day before I had photographed in Cazenovia and it was a winter wonderland! But I loved how cozy Rachel and Steve looked, and it was like they belonged in every environment we found! I especially loved photos of them that we took on this cozy wooden bench, so romantic!
Then we headed to the waterfront of Watkins Glen. The sun was starting to set and it was a little cloudy but there was enough glimmer of light! And these two in front of the lake on the rocks was so picture perfect! Then, we went to the pier by the Seneca Lake Harbor Hotel. What a gem of a spot that was! Rachel and Steve love grabbing drinks at the hotel and they even have this outdoor fire pit which was awesome! But the hotel was right on these cool train tracks, and beyond them was the pier which leads out to Seneca Lake. At every turn there was something new and beautiful! And the sun started setting pink, the perfect way to end Rachel and Steve’s sweet session!
You can tell how in love these two are, I wish them all the love in their marriage and life together! I hope you enjoy their story!
