Happy Monday, friends! I am SO thrilled to share this sweet engagement with you today! I’m cozy by the fire because WAIT, it snowed before Thanksgiving in Central New York! But it’s fun to reminisce on this sweet fall Cazenovia engagement today!
I met Lindsay on Instagram after moving here, and she was so sweet to become a fast follower and then I found out she went to high school with my husband! Small world! So it was such a joy when she asked me to photograph for her and Joe.
Lindsay and Joe met after college, through a mutual friend at work. Friends, this is something SO sweet about living in a small town – people really do know other people and you trust their word. So Lindsay had heard about “this guy Joe” through her boss, and they were set up on a blind date – and as you can see these two became inseparable! Now they’re planning their wedding in Mexico (SO fun!) but they wanted their engagement photographs to reflect their roots in Cazenovia and Central New York, captured in some of the beautiful places around here.
It wasn’t hard to find the perfect spots for these two!! We started with a picnic near the Burlingame trail system in Cazenovia – the rolling hills in the background were just breathtaking. I loved their sweet picnic blanket, wine, wheat, and flowers from Spruce Ridge Floral Design! And Lindsay and Joe’s love for each other was so apparent and just adorable!
Then, we journeyed on to Lorenzo Historic Site, which some of you may remember was the site for part of Derek and I’s engagement photos! The backdrops there are just gorgeous, as is the field next to it which connects to Empire Brewery. The light there out by the hay bales was just STUNNING! These two were up for any adventure and I had so much fun getting to know them!
I wish Lindsay and Joe every happiness in their life together! I hope you enjoy their sweet story
