Happy Wedding Wednesday, friends!! I’m finally catching up with blogging after a sweet 4th of July with family and an AMAZING trip to the Adirondacks with my honey! Ahh, it was so refreshing to my heart to just have that pause and breather. I can’t wait to blog more about THAT. But in the meantime, I have a sweet story for you today!
I just love Alexis and Chase!! I have known them for years, and Alexis and Chase were high school sweethearts. Though life took them in different directions for the first part of their adult years, they re-connected and knew that each other was always the “one.” They had their first son together, Colton, last year – and were so excited to get married and seal the deal for forever!!
They had found this rustic farmhouse venue in Connecticut and the vibes were so them – relaxed, fun, and definitely a party for their close friends and family. When I arrived in the morning, Alexis was getting ready and was already getting teary reading Chase’s note to the almost Mrs. Bernard! Her dress and her details were just stunning, light and romantic Her best friend helped her get dressed and all her girls were just so stunned to see how beautiful she looked!
Chase was waiting for his bride at the aisle overlooking the beautiful fields, vistas and trees on the property. Their wedding ceremony was beautiful and also full of laughter, as Chase’s brother in law who is also a comedian (legit!) officiated for them! And finally, these two soulmates were husband and wife!!
We took some gorgeous photos in the fields with the magic light, and boy was I in photographer heaven with them!! Ahh! Then, everyone enjoyed a cocktail hour on the patio and got ready to party at the reception. Their guests were dancing before they were even introduced! Alexis and Chase’s first dance together and with their son was so sweet As were the speeches by her dad, MOH and his best man (you may recognize Derek who is also one of my grooms this year!)
I had such a blast with these two and of course we went out for more portraits before the night was over – at sunset and at twilight – and oh was it worth it!! I am so happy these two found each other again and thrilled to celebrate their marriage. Hope you enjoy Alexis and Chase’s sweet story!
