I can hardly believe what I’m about to write, friends!
It’s been such a journey lately, such an adventure spending the winter in upstate New York. I’m making a lot of new friends and connections in the industry, and even did a Styled Shoot which you may have seen on the blog this past month! And my heart has really started to beat for community.
I’ve always known that my business couldn’t do well without other people, especially the vendors in the wedding community. But somehow, spending time in a place that isn’t my home and where my business started, I realized quickly that community is all I have – and it’s all that we all have. So I started thinking of ways to help the vendors in the community in Central New York, and one day got together to brainstorm with wedding planner Kera Wasserbach of Looking Glass Events!
And from one cup of coffee at Peaks Coffee Company (one of my favorite little places!) came the CNY Wedding Convention. Kera has such a brilliant mind and started running our the idea to have a one day event for wedding professionals where people share their expertise to help others’ businesses do well And of course, I wanted to share anything I could to help. Which is where this came in…
