Happy almost New Year’s, friends! I hope you all had a fabulous Christmas I’m celebrating mine in Florida with my family, which has been so lovely! And I’m only a few days away from my own bridal shower, and my sweet fiance is here to celebrate with me Lots of good things going on!
I’m so excited to share this BEAUTIFUL December wedding – it was wonderful celebrating Kristen and Steve and their love! When I first met Kristen, she mentioned that she and Steve had been at one of my past clients’ weddings – and then I realized that Steve and I had gone to the same high school – what a small world!
I could tell in meeting them how fun, relaxed and in love they were. You may remember their engagement session where we photographed at a campfire at the end!! These two are so adventurous, they’re honeymooning in Patagonia right now! They planned a beautiful wedding day with their close friends and family at St. Patrick’s Stone Church in the town they grew up, and their reception at the beautiful Whitby Castle in Rye.
When I arrived at Kristen’s house, I was so in love with all her beautiful bridal details, fur, her amazing “something blue” heels, and her gorgeous soft bouquet. The girls were having so much fun in their matching pajamas that Kristen bought them, and her cute little flower girl arrived all dressed up! When it was time for Kristen to get dressed, her mom and cousin helped her next to the Christmas lights – and Kristen looked absolutely stunning!! Then all the girls then went outside for some portraits in the daylight before they left for the church!
At St. Patrick’s church, Steve was so stunned to see his gorgeous bride walking toward him. They had a beautiful ceremony, and before long they were MARRIED! We had only a short time to catch the daylight before the sun set, and we caught the most GORGEOUS magic light with Kristen and Steve on the hill outside the church!! After taking bridal party and family photographs, we were off to their reception at Whitby Castle. We set up some lights outside and took some amazing portraits (Downton Abbey style – if any of you also loved that show!!) with the beautiful castle backdrop under the full moon.
After cocktail hour, it was time to get this party started! Kristen and Steve danced to “You and I” by Dave Matthews Band, and it was so sweet They thanked all of their guests, listened to some sweet and funny toasts, and their guests enjoyed hopping in and out of the photo booth! It was a beautiful night in the intimate setting with Christmas trees and lights, and so much fun on the dance floor!
Kristen and Steve are so awesome and have such a sweet love – I wish them every happiness together! I hope you enjoy their story
