Happy Wedding Wednesday, friends! Even during Thanksgiving week, amidst the crazy and the schedules, what a great time to take a breather and take a look at this beautiful fall wedding and be warmed by all this love!
Kate and Will are such sweethearts, I seriously could not wait for their day!! I met Kate through her friends Morgan and Val who were past brides of mine – and from the moment I met her I just loved her bubbly personality and kind spirit! Kate met Will at Cross Fit – and this guy who kept asking her out – became her husband! Isn’t life amazing like that?
As soon as I arrived at Kate’s parents’ house, it was like a reunion with all of her friends – I just loved seeing them! And what’s more, the girls all wrote Kate a song and performed it for her as she watched with tears. Ahh it was pure sweetness! I was in photographer heaven with the details – from her gorgeous Haley Paige gown, her shoes with scallops and bling, and little charms that were her parents’ that she was tying to her bouquet for good luck. Kate’s sister and mom helped her get dressed in her mom’s room, and I could tell she was holding back the tears. But all morning, all I heard was “it still doesn’t feel real!” When she was finished getting dressed, Kate looked absolutely stunning – her dad was teary seeing her, and her friends were just so excited!
At St. Patrick’s Stone Church, Will was waiting for his bride at the altar. And couldn’t believe how gorgeous she looked! They had a beautiful ceremony there, and before long they were MARRIED! They greeted all their guests and then exited through bubbles – and with the biggest smiles! We took some portraits of Kate and Will (who I lovingly referred to as Princess Kate and Prince Will – I died when I realized that haha!) outside – and caught some gorgeous light and the beautiful color on the trees. Then we headed to West Hills Country Club for their reception!!
We boarded the golf carts with the bridal party and headed into the beautiful landscape for portraits! We stopped by some gorgeous willow trees and caught some light coming through the trees for Kate and Will And took some fun photos with the girls and guys! Then, Kate and Will continued onto Hole 9, where we caught even more beautiful light and an amazing scene of orange trees – I was in heaven, seriously!
Then everyone headed back for family photographs and a delicious cocktail hour. Before long, it was time for their reception and it was a party even before they entered! Their nieces and nephews were breakdancing on the reception floor! Kate and Will shared a sweet first dance, and then all their guests came on the dance floor with them! They had some sweet and hilarious toasts during dinner, danced with their parents, did a private cake cutting and even surprised Kate’s grandma with her own birthday cake, and then kept dancing the night away! Of course, we took some beautiful night photographs outside before the night was over.
I wish these two every joy and happiness together!! I hope you love Kate and Will’s story this Thanksgiving week!!
