Happy Monday, friends! I had a busy weekend taking time to celebrate Christmas with friends – and I’m finally excited to share this gorgeous fall wedding with you! Thank you for the wait and I promise it’ll be worth it!!
Karen and Brian are such an amazing couple – I loved these two from the start! They are both so kind, and you can tell they have a beautiful friendship and love. Karen loves to run marathons, and she encouraged Brian to run the NYC marathon with her. He decided not only to run the marathon but to propose to her at the end – and tied the ring into his running clothes! Of course she said yes! I loved their story and the adventurous spirits they share. And of course, couldn’t wait for their beautiful wedding day!
Karen and Brian were married at Dutchess Manor in Cold Spring, and had such an elegant and intimate fall wedding with their friends and family. When I arrived at Karen’s bridal suite, the girls were getting their hair and makeup done in matching monogramed shirts Karen had bought for them – so sweet! I was in love with all the beautiful details, from her elegant jewelry and shoes to her fur wrap for the cold! Karen’s bridesmaids were stunned when they saw her dressed – she was just gorgeous! We then headed over to Dutchess Manor for the first look – but first, Karen put on her veil and we took some stunning bridal portraits of her!
Brian was so ready to see his bride! He had just opened her sweet note and was grinning from ear to ear. Karen was smiling as she approached him, and their first moments seeing each other were so sweet. We then took their portraits with the beautiful Hudson River in the background – and the light was pure magic on them! I was in photographer heaven capturing their love! We then took some fun portraits of the bridal party and they were fascinated to watch the cinematographer’s drone fly above them at the end!
Everyone got ready to go to their beautiful ceremony at First Presbyterian Church in Beacon, and the service was so beautiful. They were pronounced husband and wife and were so excited! It was dark by the time the ceremony let out, and all their guests rode back to Dutchess Manor for cocktail hour. The details in the reception room were just lovely, from the florals, to pumpkin decor and candlelight – I loved capturing it all! Karen and Brian entered and you could tell it was going to be a fun night. Brian’s brother’s toast even included photos of him in a slideshow, showing what an adventurous person Brian is. And before the end of the night, Karen’s siblings sang them a karaoke mix about her and Brian’s story – and they were cracking up (and so proud!)
It was such a beautiful and fun day, and I truly wish these two every happiness in their life together. I hope you enjoy Karen and Brian’s sweet story!!
