Oh, friends! What a joy to post this gorgeous wedding today!
Alli and Micah have been such a joy to know, and from the beginning it was clear how much they love each other and what a natural friendship they have. They live in Manhattan and love to try restaurants and good food together! (Right after my own heart!) And they love to travel, and have been to Europe many times, including a recent trip to Belgium! I just love their adventurous spirits and how they embrace the journey together. You might remember their sweet spring engagement session in Central Park! They were so adorable, and I just couldn’t wait to capture their wedding day!
Before the wedding, we saw that it was very likely it was going to rain. I talked to Alli about preparing just in case! And even before the wedding day, I loved how she determined through the rain to stay positive, and enjoy each moment with all her loved ones! And after all, she was going to be married to Micah!
When I arrived at Round Hill, I was so ecstatic to see all of Alli’s details! I knew from talking to her months ago that her wedding was going to be blush and gold themed, but I was impressed to see it in every little thing – from her invitation suite, to Jimmy Choo shoes, the bridesmaid dresses, flowers, signage with gold script, and cupcake stand. I was pretty much in photographer heaven from the start! Alli even got all her girls personalized Starbucks cups and toasting flutes with their names on it – so sweet
Then it was time to get dressed, and her mom and one of her matrons of honor helped her while the other girls hid away to be surprised. When they saw her, the reaction on their faces was priceless! I’ve never seen one like it! Then, Alli was antsy and ready to see Micah for their first look. Her groom was so astonished to see how gorgeous she looked! We took the sweetest portraits of them on the front porch at Round Hill, and every moment we captured was just beautiful. Then we asked the whole bridal party (including their cute little ring bearer!) to come onto the porch for portraits. I had a great time with the girls, who were up for trying anything from natural poses to “Vogue” And then we took portraits of the entire bridal party with fun umbrellas that totally matched their color scheme!
The ceremony was set up inside in the ballroom which would later become the dance floor! Alli and Micah stood under the huppah while one of their close friends officiated the ceremony. Sweet words were read, they exchanged rings, and with the breaking of the glass they were married!! After enjoying a few moments alone and quite a spread for cocktail hour, they were ready for their reception!
Their first dance was so sweet and happiness was all over these two. Their guests sat down for some hilarious and sweet words from their friends as they toasted to the happy couple. Alli and Mike had so much fun dancing the night away with everyone, and their cute little ring bearer stole the show on the dance floor quite a few times! At the end of the night, Alli and Mike left by sparkler exit – even though it was drizzling, their getaway car was waiting and their guests waved a sweet goodbye!
I wish these two every joy and happiness together! And hope you enjoy their story!
