I had such a wonderful time with this couple
When I met Erin, we immediately connected because she loves the Lord, and she and Chris wanted their wedding day to be about something bigger. They are now a part of Love Gives Way, and their wedding is giving back love to the rescued women at Restore NYC!
I found out that Erin and Chris met on a “blind” date; and the day they were supposed to meet, Erin almost didn’t go. They told me how much meeting Chris at that time in her life was so much about God’s grace in both of their lives. On their first date, they spent the whole day together; and it only took a month for Chris to know that Erin would one day be his bride.
We photographed their engagement session at Mount Gulian Historic Site in Beacon, not far from where their wedding will be! We chose Mount Gulian because the day called for rain; and we had to photograph rain or shine! I found this location and fell in love with the big rustic porch; and how quaint and romantic it is. When we got there, there was no rain in sight!!!
We photographed on their big porch; and I just loved capturing such intimate and beautiful moments between Erin and Chris. Then we went inside the main house, which was built during Revolutionary times, and still has a bunch of old furniture, costumes and memorabilia from the 1700s. It just HAPPENED to be painted the same teal as Erin’s shirt – was that perfect or what?!
And finally, they opened the old barn for us, where they hold wedding receptions. The barn was transported to the property in the late 1700s after the house was built. It was just so pretty with the stringed lights. Such a romantic setting for these two!
Their wedding is only 8 days away!! I’m so excited to be a part of Erin & Chris’ special day. Enjoy their story!
