I had so much fun getting to know Tracy and Tim!
Since Tim proposed to Tracy on a hiking trail, I knew we had to photograph their engagement in the woods! We chose the rustic location of Bear Mountain Inn, which also has several trails and a beautiful the lake. I have photographed several weddings here, but this was my first engagement session at BMI; the winter day couldn’t have been more beautiful
I found a cute spot to photograph at Overlook Lodge, which looks out over Hessian Lake. The cute stone cottages looked just like something I would picture Tracy and Tim doing on the weekend. They agreed, they would totally stay here!! When we arrived, the light was just perfect, the sun bouncing off of the icicles on the roof. So dreamy!
Then, we went closer to the Inn and photographed in the snow. It was a little challenging to walk in, and after trying to dance in the high snow, Tracy and Tim fell onto each other, and laughed so hard. It was a priceless moment.
We walked around Hessian Lake, and Tim had fun throwing heart confetti. Since Tim and Tracy are both engineers, Tim was trying to calculate the height and angle he should throw it in the air so it would fall perfectly!! They threw some snow, too, but they just let that happen; and it was so romantic. We finished the session at the Carousel, which they left open just for us!
I’m so excited for Tracy and Tim’s wedding this Spring. I hope you enjoy their story!
